Biografia | James Palmieri, CFA, is a Managing Director of SSGA and the Adviser, a Senior Portfolio Manager, and Head of Structured Credit for the Fundamental Active Fixed Income Team. In his role, he is the lead portfolio manager and trader for the Structured Products Group servicing all total rate of return and insurance accounts managed in Stamford, CT. Prior to joining GE Asset Management, he worked at Constitution State Corporate Credit Union for one year as an investment director and CIGNA Investment Management for five years as a fixed income portfolio manager. Biografia | Matthew Nest, CFA, is a Managing Director of SSGA and the Adviser and Global Head of Macro Strategies. In that capacity, he is responsible for global interest rate and currency portfolio management. Prior to joining SSGA in 2016, Mr. Nest spent sixteen years at PIMCO in a number of functions including portfolio management, strategy and business development. He has worked in the U.S., Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong. He started his career at Bank of America and has been working in the investment industry since 1999. Biografia | Mr. Gould joined Guggenheim in 2014 as a managing director and senior portfolio manager on the Insurance Asset Management Team. He is responsible for the development and strategy implementation for the firm’s insurance client portfolios. Mr. Gould has more than 20 years of experience in institutional asset management with an emphasis on managing multi-sector portfolios, liability-driven portfolio management and alternative investment strategies. Prior to joining Guggenheim, Mr. Gould was the Head of Portfolio Management at the Munich Re Group (MEAG New York) where he was responsible for the North American investment strategies and served as a member of the Investment Committee and Corporate Officer. Also, he was actively involved in developing alternative investment strategies and the firm’s operational risk management. Before joining Munich Re in 2007, Mr. Gould was a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at GE Asset Management where he headed the Structured Products Group. Prior to that, Mr. Gould spent six years at MetLife’s investment department where he managed structured products and real estate investments as well as analyzed M&A opportunities.
